PETER SAMUELSON – Director

Peter has 50 years’ experience within the shopfitting industry throughout Europe. In 1973 he entered the family shopfitting company in Sweden and 15 years later was appointed its Chairman and Managing Director. Under his leadership, the company started businesses in Denmark, Finland, Poland, UK, Czech, and Hungary, plus joint ventures in Germany and Norway.

In 2006 he co-founded New Store Europe by merging the Samuelsons Group with the Grön-Hansen company in Norway. As a key Director he established further companies in Italy, Spain and Turkey, plus a trading relationship with a business in Greece. Following the purchase of New Store Europe by a private equity company, Peter left in June 2011.

In January 2012 he put his recruitment skills and knowledge of the European retail interiors market to good use by joining Glencourt Associates to undertake executive recruitment work within mainland Europe. He was appointed a Director of Glencourt Associates in July 2013.
